Many people have asked what led me to my journey and decision to become a wedding officiant.

It started with my own experience when I first became engaged, back in 1994 in Boulder Colorado and the early stages of planning my wedding. I had been raised Jewish yet my fiancée was not, nor did he have a desire to “convert.” My fiancée and I were left to look for a wedding officiant.

I remember her being very patient, kind, caring, outgoing, spiritual and a wonderful listener and writer. I realized that I had those same qualities and more!

Over the years, my spiritual views matured. I found that my personal views and opinions changed as well. As I watched acquaintances, friends and family struggle with some of the same issues I dealt with back in 1994 I saw that there was a great need in my own community for people to serve engaged couples regardless of their personal views, spirituality (or none), religious preference (or none) or character.

I committed myself to what I refer to as “my calling” and became ordained with Universal Life Ministries. Since then, I have had the honor of serving family and friends as well as being able to serve my community not only here in Boulder, Colorado but all of the United States and beyond.

It is important to me to uphold the wishes of each engaged couple as their wedding officiant and refrain from passing personal judgement, regardless of their personal history or their history as a couple. I have first hand experience what it is like to be judged and to be judged based upon someone else’s beliefs. It is hurtful, plain and simple. I can honestly say that with each couple I have served, I have upheld this personal promise. I welcome all couples, regardless of their life experiences, backgrounds, personal views, beliefs and other characteristics. That is what makes us all unique!

With each couple I serve, I do my best to provide them with a ceremony that reflects their love and personalities as well as their beliefs. I also believe that each couple is entitled to have high quality at an affordable price — I am proud to offer my high quality and strong work ethic at a rate that is affordable. I have been given the honor to serve many couples and provided them with just this

By working with you and your partner, I will help you create a ceremony that will mean something to you, your friends and your family. I can suggest appropriate readings and passages that will reflect your personality. I can help you feel comfortable with the whole process and calm your nerves on your special day.

The service can be as serious or as irreverent as you want it to be.

I bring a wealth of life experience, a friendly and relaxed demeanor, some serious organizational skills and a love of people to your wedding, commitment ceremony, or vow renewal.

I have performed hundreds of ceremonies from local, to far off destinations. I specialize in crafting and performing customized ceremonies from religious, non- religious to spiritual.

Each couple who comes to me is very different and unique.

My fees range in price and I also try to accommodate couples on a budget.

This range is based on the time requirement needed to create the wedding ceremony you desire, at the location of your choice.

In addition to the time it takes to develop a unique and personalized ceremony, my fee also includes unlimited consultation with me via email and telephone, and time and travel to lead your rehearsal and preside at your wedding ceremony. I will also present you with a beautiful copy of your ceremony.

My weddings are unique…just like you. As a Certified Celebrant, I take great care to learn about you, your love story and your vision for the future.

Thank you for everything Jane! You were perfect and delivered a beautiful ceremony. Couldn't have asked for better.

Mrs. Cantrell

``Jane is extremely lovely to work with and knows how to handle each wedding or elopment in an individual way. She puts a lot of time into making sure she really gets to know the bride and groom, and what it is they are looking for in their ceremony. She is always on time and jumps in right away to help with the guests and overall ceremony. We have had many wonderful ceremonies with her as the officiant, and look forward to many more!

Adam and I are so impressed with the wonderful ceremony you conducted for our wedding. You completely captured our personality as a couple and constructed a perfect ceremony which suited us. After our wedding we had several guests approach us, and ask who our wonderful officiant was, and we have highly recommended you to all who ask. When planning our wedding we decided that a key element of a wedding was the officiant, and without a doubt you exceeded our expectations. We truly cannot thank you enough for your special service, it is something Adam and I will cherish as an integral part of our special day.

We were married on November 28, 2014. We had a very small ceremony at the Alps Boulder Canyon Inn and the day was perfect. We met Jane for coffee a couple weeks before our ceremony so that we could get to know each other and she could learn more about us as a couple as she would be writing our vows and customizing our ceremony. We were so pleased with our meeting with Jane and knew right away that she was the perfect person to officiate our wedding. She was just so kind, a great listener, nonjudgmental, a supporter of love and matrimony, and a fun person to be around.
We knew that Jane would be a ``go with the flow`` type officiant when she agreed to marry us the day after Thanksgiving. We had less than 15 guests and on the big day one very important person was running almost an hour late and it didn't faze Jane. She mingled with the guests and groom until everyone arrived.
The ceremony was so special and an absolute representation of us as individuals and as a couple. After the ceremony our family was so impressed with her work and could not compliment her enough. I read our vows ( her words) often and will for years to come.
Jane is a great person and I am so grateful that she was a part of this very important day in our lives. We plan to involve Jane in all of our future celebrations. This isn't just a job for Jane, she truly loves what she does. She is an inspiration and I hope that you enjoy your time with her as much as we did.
